[Hilfe, Freiheit!]
2008 (Korsakow-films, talkshows | in production)

What is life like in the free world? [Hilfe, Freiheit!] is a series of eight interactive talkshows at the theater Kammerspiele in München on different aspects of freedom. For each show a Korsakow-interview-film is produced. Experts on stage comment on the statements of the people in the interviews. The audience is equipped with laser-pointers and takes over the role of the presenter. Everything is filmed and will be part of eight Korsakow-films.
[Hilfe, Freiheit!] is done by Tobias Hülswitt and myself. It is the first project of the new Korsakow-Institute.

What is life like where the wall used to be? Almost 20 years ago a wall surrounded West-Berlin, 160 kilometers long. The wall is gone, what remains is a bike-path. Together with a group of people I went on a 6-day-expedition to find memories of people of the wall.

[1000Stories]

What is life like in the United States of America? I traveled through the US on a BMW-motorbike and put new stories on a weblog every day from Oct 1 to Nov 15, 2007. American Film-maker Mark Simon explored Germany at the same time and published his stories to the same Blog. I will use the material I collected for building a Korsakow-installation and hopefully a Korsakow-film as well.

Florians Thalhofers
There is not one truth – there are many.

Recently I figured out how the world works. It is very simple:
The world is a cloud - Die Welt ist eine Wolke

My friend Tobias Hülswitt on nonlinearity:

"The era of plot and story has long passed. You can feel it in every book, in every play, you can even feel it in the movies. Plot and story cause panic by speeding up the course of time, by presenting causalities and conflicts that do not exist. Dramatic composition and rising actions are metaphysics. They manifest the belief in beings outside our space and time, Beings that determine our fate. Plot and story provide a classification system that hardly differs from the classification systems of religious schools of thought."
